We all want to be successful in life. What if there was a way to have it all? There’s a movie that may have the answer. It’s called Limitless starring Bradley Cooper, Abbie Cornish and Robert De Niro.
Eddie Mora, played by Cooper, is a writer who just can’t get things done. He bumps into Vernon Grant, his ex-wife’s brother, who gives him a pill that can help him be more focused. The drug is called NZT and after one dose, he is able to finish his book in a matter of days. When Eddie tries to get more from Vernon, he finds him dead in his apartment. Before the police arrive he finds a secret stash of it along with some money and takes it with him.
With that bag of NZT pills he decides to create a new image, and work in the financial market. He catches the attention Carl Van Loon, played by De Niro, who hires him to get his advice on business deals. He even gets his girlfriend Lindy back, with Lindy being played by Cornish. With all that power and wealth comes a price. Can he survive without the pills or are they the only way he can have success?
This was a mind-bending thriller in my opinion. It is Cooper’s best film so far in his career. He really held his own in this movie. There were a few parts that could have been better. I also felt the ending was a bit of a letdown. I still recommend that you see this though. I give Limitless eight and a half out of ten. What do you think about this film? Has Bradley Cooper come a long way since The Hangover and The A-Team? Could this really happen in the future? Send us an e-mail.
