Jerry Bruckheimer has developed a lot of television shows over the past decade. From all three CSI’s, to Cold Case, to The Forgotten, he has done it all, but for NBC he’s not done yet. With Bruckheimer as executive producer, NBC brings us his next cop drama, Chase. It stars Kelli Giddish from FOX’s short lived Past Life as Annie Frost who is a deputy U.S. Marshal. Frost and her team of other U.S Marshals track down the most violent criminals deep in the heart of Texas. One of her teammates is Jimmy Godfrey played by Cole Hauser from Good Will Hunting, TheCave, and Paparazzi. During the pilot, they are joined by the newest member of the team Luke Watson played by Jesse Metcalfe.

We learn a lot in the first episode. For instance, we know Annie’s mother died when she was eight and that her father was a career criminal. We also learn that she goes by the nickname “Boots”. Now we have seen a lot of police dramas, but never one that actually focused on how fugitives are apprehended by the U.S. Marshals.

Most of the critics do not like this show, but, I really enjoyed the pilot, and I like what Bruckheimer has done here. I like the cast, especially Kelli Giddish, because she didn’t really get a chance to shine in Past Life. However, here with Chase, she will. It has a really good pace, some great action scenes and above all, that emotional ending at the end of every episode that Bruckheimer has been a part of. I give this one three out of four stars. What do you think of Chase? Is this win for Bruckheimer or is this just another boring cop drama? Send us an e-mail and let your voice be heard. All-New episodes of Chase are Mondays at 10/9c on NBC.
