A lot of new shows have premiered this season, but one of them that stand out is White Collar. It’s the story of a con artist named Neal Caffrey who gets caught by the FBI not once but twice. While he is in jail he makes a deal with the agent that put him away, Peter Burke, who works with the White Collar crime unit in New York City. He will help catch other criminals like himself as part of a work release program.
Neal has his own agenda: to find his girlfriend Kate, who is missing. What makes this show so intriguing is that this has never been done before on TV. The cast of this show couldn’t be better with Matt Bomer as Neal Caffrey who was on the short lived ABC series Traveler. You also have Tiffani Theissen as Burke’s wife Elisabeth making her return to TV after her show Fastlane got the axe a few years ago. The theme of this show is: To solve the hardest crime, hire the smartest criminal. The fun ensues when with comedy that’s thrown into it.
This show gets better every week and I say this is the next Burn Notice. What I mean by that is White Collar has its own sense of style and the cases that they work on are great and when you add comedy and a twist or two to the mix it makes it that much better. Catch all new episodes Tuesdays at 10/9c on USA.
